nakia - I think I have more photos of you and your band. I really enjoyed your performance. Unfortunately, until you come up to the Northeast, I won't be able to see you again until maybe next year. I plan on coming back down for SXSW. I'll check on the add'l photos for you.
traci - thanks for the spelling. I wasn't sure and had spelled it differently, saw it somewhere else on a different blog, updated it, and still got it wrong. Had nakia's name wrong earlier as well. The party was excellent.

Marvelous posts and pictures of the whole event, Cathy (I love the getting in line for the John bit). Your run-down was detailed and honest. Such a playground for music enthusiasts, I read with a tad of jealousy. I have to budget my concert experiences, and some of the ticket prices are getting out of my league right now, but this sounds like a ball.
Thanks for being the pulse of SXSW for the blogger folk back in their homes. You did a remarkable job putting us right there with you.

Beautiful photos! i was lucky to see The Mother Truckers and think Teal is one of the best singers anywhere.
Not many people know this but when Michael Des Barres was young he appeared in "To Sir With Love" the Sidney Poiter classic with LuLu.

I actually felt the little bit of sadness when SXSW-ended. I didn't feel sad when it actually ended, only now reading your excellent accounts do I feel it! You put me there in the moment!
I also now want to see Mother Truckers. My mother was "Mother Tucker".My brother is still "Brother Tucker" and we have been aware of the Mother Truckers for a long time. But we'd not actually heard them. Shhhh don't tell anyone the family name...;)
